The development and of Stress Shot Peening simulation and modelling of residual stresses and their relaxation during operational-fatigue loading gives a useful tool to analyse process stability and fatigue life behaviour, predict deviations, and assist, therewith, to the overall leaf spring design tasks.

Subsequently, this fully digital, novel simulation model will be used for the elaboration of optimized SSP processes considering the residual stress relaxation during operational fatigue loading in a concise manner.
